Dear LGLL Community,

LGLL received a communication from Little League® yesterday and all Board Members were able to participate
in an online meeting last night. The meeting was livelier than most as the background included kids and spouse
screaming, dogs barking, dishes being loaded into the dishwasher, door(s) slamming, an inquiry as to where the
clean bath towels were, and one (maybe two) interruptions caused by sporadic internet access. And that was
just my house.

For the past two months, we have closely monitored the directives of federal, state and local authorities
regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. After listening to the insight and comments of all Board Members, the
decision was made to indefinitely postpone all LGLL activities until the entire community can safely enjoy
baseball once again. And while no one knows exactly when this will be, the entire LGLL Board continues to hold
onto the hope (however slim it may be) that it may be sometime this year. Even if Spring 2020 baseball
activities are able to commence, we do not know what that would look like at this point (e.g., summer start to
spring season, shortened season, fewer teams, fewer divisions, etc.).

You are receiving this message because you registered your child/children to play in LGLL for the 2020 Spring
season. In order for us to address certain administrative issues, we are asking you to take a few minutes to
answer some questions at https://forms.gle/RSX16Edkymn7CT1i6. Your answers will help us plan should we be
able to resume baseball activities and make any necessary revisions to the fiscal year budget.
One of the questions will be if you wish to receive a refund of your Spring 2020 registration fee. Since LGLL has
incurred a significant amount of unrecoverable costs, including cash outlays for insurance, chartering, uniforms,
deposits for field improvements, supplies and new equipment, our financial position to issue refunds will be
directly dependent on the number of families that request them. From a fiscal stability standpoint, it is the
respectful request of the Board that you elect to apply your Spring 2020 registration fee to a future season if
the Spring 2020 season does not happen. This may be more applicable to families with younger children who
have many years of LGLL baseball ahead of them. Understandably, some of you have older children where that
may not be the case. If you do not complete the survey by May 10, 2020, we will (1) assume you are unable to
participate in the 2020 Spring season, should the season eventually commence, and (2) automatically apply
your Spring 2020 registration fee to Spring 2021 registration.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support of LGLL.
