Tropiano Transportation Inc. was founded in 1985 by Joseph and Anna May Tropiano in Ambler, PA, as a minority-owned company. The company started with only two vehicles. As the company began to expand and the fleet grew bigger, so did the demands of the family. From 1985 to present day, the company has grown at an average rate of 18% per year. Tropiano Transportation Inc. is the only licensed carrier permitted to sell on the per seat basis. Other carriers offering this service are operating beyond the scope of the Pennsylvania Utility Commission (PUC) and therefore illegitimate. Tropiano's insurance liability is beyond those required by the PUC and Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC). Requirements are $1.5 M for passenger vehicles carrying 15 or less and $5.0 M for vehicles carrying more than 15. Tropiano has always carried $10 M insurance liability with no deductible to protect the interest of our customer. As the company grew, Tropiano's added two more niche companies, Tropiano Airport Shuttle and Tropiano Tours. Along with these companies, came the addition of our own in-house mechanics and driver safety-management program. Tropiano mechanics are thoroughly trained in both gasoline and diesel engines. Our drivers are experienced and professional. Many are retired school teachers, military, police and firemen, all well suited for this service-oriented business. Helpe Inc. of Camden provides Tropiano with safety-management plans and assists in maintaining a low accident rate. All our drivers are randomly drug-tested and scrutinized every 30 days for violations of any kind.
